You'll Never Know
Have you ever looked at someone and your insides create the strangest feeling that you wish could last forever but also want it to be utterly and completely satisfied. The longer that feeling stays the harder it gets to ignore it and push it away. Not just wanting to indulge in each other but wanting to be with them, create memories, make them smile and just be in their presence. Maybe you get spend a little more time getting ready when you know you'll see them that day or making sure you "happen" to cross paths. Smiling at the daydreams of them doing simple but cute things that you just swoon at every time. Even though you know those aren't real you still dream as much as you can because in your dreams that person is yours and the only thing that matters is you two.
The moment they look at you, you melt on the inside. Each time wishing they would just talk to you but also wishing they wouldn't. Suddenly they do. They are so close to you. You sit wishing they couldn't hear your heart screaming in you chest, feeling your skin heat up. Bring scared, nervous and happy all at once and what do you do? You run. Even if your entire body is yelling at you to stay, talk and get to know them still you run. You lost your only chance idiot! Maybe there is more opportunities but that doesn't matter. This was your first chance, your first shot and you blew it like a damn shotgun.
Just try to forget it. Of course that never happens, how can you forget someone so..so.. I don't even know the words. You will remember every second of them being that close knowing it will never happen again. You were so close, so close to those dreams coming true. All those "fantasies" being real. Should have taken it slow but damn I didn't mean to take it like a sloth! Now your chance is gone, destroyed, finito! Oh well, you might be able to live never knowing what they could have done for you. If they could have changed your life or changed everything bad about you. You'll never know. You'll never know how much I want you.
